Lugs

A lug (or cable lug) is a metal connector used to securely attach a heavy-duty electrical wire or cable to a terminal, busbar, or other electrical equipment.

They provide a safe, stable, and highly conductive connection. They are especially common in high-amperage systems like car batteries (jumper cables) and switchgear.

The bare end of the cable is inserted into the cylindrical barrel and crimped or soldered, while the flat "palm" with a bolt hole is securely screwed to a terminal.
